WHICH RING FOR THE INDEX?

The morphology of the fingers and hands tends to influence the choice of our rings. Indeed, some look better on long, slender fingers than on hands with thick joints. What is more, the fact of wearing a ring on such or such a finger has a strong symbolism. This is the case with the ring finger, the finger of the wedding ring and the engagement ring, symbol of commitment and eternal love. But what about the index? This finger is the 2nd of the hand; it is between the thumb and the middle finger. What ring to wear on this finger and does it have a meaning?

A TYPE OF RING APPROPRIATE TO THE SIZE OF THE FINGER

The index finger is more or less proportionate like the ring finger, whether in length or width. Thus, it can be associated with the same type of ring. Or even alternate the wearing of the same ring on one or the other of these fingers. However, the ring finger of the left hand will be reserved for wearing the wedding ring and the engagement ring, even if it can be moved to the right ring finger.

However, thin rings ideally adorn the index finger. It will emphasize its finesse while remaining discreet. What is interesting for this finger that we often use to ask for the floor or designate something or a direction.

You can also give it larger rings, with sparkling and imposing gems. It all depends on your tastes. The index thus lends itself to all types of rings, especially since on this finger, the jewel will not interfere with your daily activities.

If you wear several rings at the same time, you can alternate ring sizes. If on the thumb, you wear a simple and wide ring, the index finger which is right next to it can be adorned with a more imposing ring. On the ring finger, we will find a ring and, on the little finger, a last discreet and original jewel. Play with volumes and materials, don't hesitate to mix gold and silver, fine and precious stones... Your hands will shine with a thousand lights.
